Focus On Education and Work Based Training


In addition to our Enhancement and Donation promotion efforts, the Council also works closely with area employers and educators to facilitate meaningful Work Based Training Programs.  Peninsula employers are seeking students that are interested in long term career opportunities and are willing to give students practical experience in career fields they may wish to enter. As an educator, you have a unique perspective on ways to make Work Based Training programs more productive for both the student and the Companies that offer them. Educators may use this page to review WBT opportunities.

The Council urges local educators to stay abreast of the Work Based Training Programs and utilize the information to recommend specific opportunities to students whom they believe may have an aptitude for the postions being offered.  Guidance Counselors' comments on the positions are always welcome.  If you have suggestions for making the programs more meaningful for your students, you may submit suggestions using the e-form below.
