Peninsula Worklink’s multi-faceted approach starts with area Job Seekers. Each of our six One-Stop Centers is staffed to provide career assessment, exploration and development resources and help Greater Peninsula residents find a career that gives them a sense of accomplishment and contribution .  The resources available on this site are helpful, but not exhaustive.  Many of our programs can best be delivered effectively at our One-Stop Centers. We invite our clients to make full use of the resources on this site but encourage you to visit a One-Stop Centers to gain access to our staff professionals.


Many of our Job Seeker Services are available online. Where there are workshops and seminars that require a visit to our One Stop Centers or one of our Educational Partners Campuses, you'll find them listed on our calendar. Questions during regular business hours? Help is just a  click away.  One-Stop Resource Centers are staffed and operated under a joint agreement with Thomas Nelson Community College, the Virginia Employment Commission and New Horizons Regional Education Center. Administrative support and policy guidance is provided by the Peninsula Council for Workforce Development, the Greater Peninsula Workforce Investment Board and the Greater Peninsula Workforce Development Consortium. Online Career Search   In addition to the Hot Opportunities, you can  link to online search sites like the VEC's ALEX System and a number of Career Search websites.
 

Guided Search Services   Have you been affected by a down-sizing or are you long-time unemployment?  Under certain circumstances, you may qualify for educational assistanceCheck your eligibility for this program.
    

Military-to-Civilian Transition Assistance   Many active duty mitilary find themselves living on the Peninsula when they are preparing to retire. Our One Stop Centers specialize in finding second career opportunities

Job Fair Schedule and Registration    Our One Stop Centers sponsor Job Fairs throughout the year. Employers register to participate; Job Seekers can review the Employer's Registration List in advance.
